Golsons is a Louisiana based "bricks and mortar" retail store that required an online solution that could make all of its BBQ / Grill product sets available across the United States. BFDS was engaged to come up with a clean modern brand.
With the correct branding concept applied, the current and potential Golsons customer base was able to identify with the Golsons brand for not only a single product, but the whole Golsons product set.
The psychological aspect of the Golsons brand image was chosen to illustrate cooking / heating with gas and what Golsons has to offer the marketplace overall. The branding concept has been applied to all points of contact with-in the business and has been well recieved by the customer base.
The final Golsons logo was chosen by the client as it reflected the aspect behind the clients product range and was also warm, inviting and had a clean minimal look and feel. This new logo has received positive feedback from the existing Golsons clients and has been well received.
The logo design process consisted of being provided a design brief by the client, which was then followed by relevant industry market research. We then developed the logo design concepts based on this information and presented to the clients for approval.

Laudanum is a condensed serif display typeface inspired the typography found in street posters of the 19th century. Featuring uppercase, small caps and key word graphic glyphs.
